- Funding education and vocational training so Charles County schools, teachers and facilities are among the best in the state;
- Prioritizing the county’s unique attributes, including parks, agricultural, open and working lands, and watersheds of value to the public;
- Building a safer and stronger tomorrow by encouraging equality, access, and a good quality of life for all citizens and generations;
- Focusing on the needs our county must meet, including good medical care in our community, programs that address addiction, homelessness and domestic violence, and others that help better serve seniors, youths and lower-income residents;
- Fostering policies that result in workforce training, new employment efforts, and local jobs creation;
- Continuing the dialogue regarding infrastructure demands, including broadband being widely available, capital improvements, school space, our transportation grid and a multimodal system;
- Making sure that our police and first responders have the financial outlays, tools and equipment they require;
- Supporting economic development that is not narrowly based on more residential housing, and instead on growth initiatives that boost the county tax base;
- Working toward policies that help focus the resources needed to expand the technology, energy, healthcare, commercial and industrial sectors; and
- Safeguarding the county’s historic and rural characteristics, and enacting ways to both preserve and market these features, including purchasing land for conservation.
